The Lodge at Mt Cecil

Our base log lodge is situated right in the heart of the Mt.Cecil hunting estate at 2000 feet above sea level. The views encompass beautiful farmland below running out to the Pacific Ocean, while to the north, the rugged snow capped chain of the Southern Alps can be seen.

Facilities are modern and able to provide comfortable warm accommodation to a large group of hunters & family.

Dining is informal with plenty of local meat (domestic & game), home-grown vegetables & dessert.

Mt. Cecil Station is a private estate and the base of operations for Lindsay Fraser Safaris NZ. This property is situated in the beautiful province of South Canterbury in the central South Island region of New Zealand. The hunting area encompasses many thousand of acres of prime game habitat. This area has produced several Stags in excess of 400 SCI. With an active game management plan in place, the availability of world class Stag (along with Fallow, Tahr & Chamois) is simply getting better each year.
